STREAM Night November 2017

Our first STREAM Night of the 2017-2018 academic year was held on November 2, 2017. The theme of this trimester was "Flight," so the projects included things like paper gliders, airplanes, birds and drones. The middle school students focused their projects on drones or airplanes that could help areas in need after suffering from natural disasters.

2017 STREAM Summer Camp

In July 2017 we had offered our first ever STREAM Summer Camp. It ran for three weeks and students could attend one week or all three. We offered this camp in partnership with Sacred Heart High School as our campers spent the mornings on their campus in Art, Science and Technology classes. Our campers made music videos, beautiful art work and sturdy straw-bridges! In the afternoons the campers returned to SMS for fun games and maybe some water balloon fights! Each week ended with a field trip or a field day on campus. We can't wait for 2018!

Students in PreK - Grade 3 all dressed up in costumes on Halloween and marched around the school yard for everyone to see! All of the costumes were consistent with our STREAM theme for the first trimester, "Getting Our Feet Wet." Our teachers joined the festivities as well! In addition to the parade, we also held our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. There were ten categories, including Most Funny, Most Creative, and Most School Spirit. The creations were amazing!
